It feels like I've been doing this quite a bit as of late, but in light of recent issues, Miniclip feels this is a point that begs repeating.
We strongly suggest: DO NOT
share your account information, especially your password, with anyone!
Miniclip support team may ask your email to solve your problems. But we value the security and privacy of every user and take measures to protect each and every one of you. We do not ask for passwords.
Miniclip values the security of every user's data and does not share it with other users so as to protect everyone's privacy. However, we cannot guarantee the safety of your account if you choose to share your login and password with others. You not only might lose control over your account (and yes, we have seen hundreds of cases like this), but you might not be able to prove the account belongs to you. And worse, that person may use your payment information associated to your Miniclip account and abuse it (yes, we have seen that also). In these cases the responsibility is yours and only yours because you shared your account in the first place possibly with the intent of gaining an illegal advantage.
On Facebook there are groups that claim to provide you with coins or items in a safe way. There is no safe way. As soon as you share your details on an online form, someone else has access to it. If someone asks for your credentials and guarantees you that you can always recover your account by contacting our Customer Support do not believe them as this is not always the case, in fact, it seldom is. Miniclip will not take responsibility if it happens. Meaning that if you previously made paid purchases on the "hacked" account we cannot guarantee any refund. This is your money and you should not take chances with it.
Selling coins and accounts online is a serious concern for our company. This parallel market has taken many "entrepreneurial" venues - there are users paying others to play for them while they are at work, sleeping, etc.- and we would like to build a community that is above such behaviors. Remember that 8 Ball Pool is a game, if you're sharing your account with someone just to gain an advantage you are already missing the point: having fun
If by any chance there is a breach in security and someone obtains access to your account through our servers or services, Miniclip will come forward to make sure it's user are not the damaged party. So far, this as not been necessary and we do our best to guarantee it will never be.
If you are ever approached by anyone trying to extort you, trying to sell or buy an account, please, contact Miniclip immediately. We know it might be alluring to buy an account with a large amount of coins for a fraction of the cost it would take to buy those coins from Miniclip, but be aware that you can never know if the previous owner had third party mods installed that have cause the account to be monitored and lined up for a permanent ban.
We hope this clears any confusion regarding the security of your accounts and informs you regarding risky behaviors online. We recommend you to join our official 8 Ball Pool Supergroup on Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/8ballpoolsupergroup/
) and avoid the other, more shady Facebook groups.
If you've read this so far, thank you for your patience. And as always, enjoy playing our games.
